Past Sr. Vice Commander - Army

Past Senior Vice Commander Kenneth Lee Christophersen passed away on November 3, 2020.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who was awarded the Purple Heart for action in Vietnam.  He was very active with the Post, serving as Bingo Committee Chair, that ran Bingo at the Veterans Hospital in Seattle. 

He was also active in VFW Post 3348 Buddy Poppy events, held twice annually at Memorial Day & Veterans Day, that are fundraisers that garnered funds that our Post, in turn, donated to various organizations who supports veterans, such as: 

·       Fisher House (across from the Seattle VA Hospital)

·       WA Soldiers in Orting, WA

·       Veterans Home in Port Orchard, WA

·       Compass Veterans Home in Shoreline

·       VFW National Home for Children

·       Gold Star Memorials

·       USO at SeaTac

Ken was married to Janice for 38 years. They had 3 sons (Karl, Erik & Bjorn). He also has a daugther, Tara, from an earlier marriage.
